XHOSA MONTESSORI TEACHER TRAINING PROJECT
(FOR PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION)
As we believe Montessori Education is not only for the privileged few, and in line with the philosophy of Maria Montessori, the Programme has decided to make the methodology of Montessori training accessible to the disadvantaged community. Joan Ntsodo will facilitate and co-ordinate this course. There will be 7 modules and each module will run for 8 weeks. Guest lecturers will offer workshops and training on specific themes relating to the relevant section, i.e. HIV AIDS, health, computer literacy, gender awareness, culture, business skills and social development issues. Material making and mentoring will form integral parts of the course. This is a first for the province and possibly for the country as well.
Joan Ntsodo won the Woman of the Year award for Xhosa Montessori Teacher Training 2010.

Cost: R3,500.00 (Bursaries available)
Duration: 18 months
